Today's featured card is from Createful Hearts Digis & Designs. I selected 'Snow Family' and decided to make a shaker card.
After printing the image on Neenah 110# card stock, I used Copic markers for coloring. I added extra mountains using new techniques that I recently learned at Copic Boot Camp in AZ.
I had also recently purchased a snow globe stamp specifically for my Christmas cards. However with my home renovations , finding this single stamp proved to be an impossible task. So I improvised and used my Spellbinder 'Door' die, and lightly traced around the edge to make my snow globe. This gave me my guideline for applying the 1/4" foam tape. Then I added about half a teaspoon of tiny clear crystals on top of the colored image before adhering a piece of acetate that I had also cut the shape of the Spellbinder Door. Next I ran a tiny line of glue around the edge of the acetate and then applied a multi blue/purple narrow washi tape to finish the edge of the shaker and coordinate with the winter scene.
For the sentiment, I used Gina Marie's Designs Winter Flourished stamp set. The completed card is mounted on a 6 x 5 card base with a frosted top mat and a light aqua organza bow.
