How Long Has It Been?

Today's blog features one of Whimsy's Halloween images and cards that we made during the recent annual Whimsy Retreat in Orlando, FL. The Grim Reaper is designed by Deb Davis, who I also had the honor of meeting at the retreat.

For the background we used our choice of Tim Holtz Oxides, mixing several colors together with daubers.  Then we used Copic Opaque White and put just a little on an acrylic block and mixed with a small amount of water, then flicked tiny dots of white onto the background colored card stock.  I also spritzed mine lightly with water to give it a few larger spots.
We then took the clear stamp image and sentiment and stamped heavily with a clear embossing pad and then  added black glossy embossing powder and heat set.
Strips of white gauze were included to add where you wanted, so a piece of mine became the knotted bow also in addition to the top and bottom small pieces peaking out the corners.

This project, like all the retreat projects, was a lot of fun to make. Thank you Whimsy Design Team!

  2. I'm not really into scary Halloween images, but you turned this scaryvone into a cute one. Love the colors and water spots. Great card.
